Sandy and John were married on Saturday, August 23, 2008.

They had their ceremony at Cathedral Basilica of Saint Joseph in San Jose and their reception at The Decathlon Club in Santa Clara.

Sandy and John were married on Saturday, August 23, 2008.

They had their ceremony at Cathedral Basilica of Saint Joseph in San Jose and their reception at The Decathlon Club in Santa Clara.

The Decathlon Club is where Sandy went for her junior prom…what really tops the story is that some of her friends who went to prom with her were there for the reception.

We were fortunate to be part of their lives, to watch their love grow from friends, to husband and wife; a great team…undeniably two glowing peas in a pod.

A beautiful wedding day it was!

The ceremony was held at one of Oakland’s historic architectural churches – St. James Episcopal Church. The stained glass windows were breathtaking. Judging the church from the exterior you can easily miss the beauty of stained glass windows. The exterior windows had a tinge of cloudiness which appeared to be covered with an opaque plexi. Once you’re inside of the church you begin appreciating the historic architecture in the wood floors, pews, and how the stained glass lets in light.

Elisa and Darwin, a super cool and down to earth couple, celebrated their unity at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Oakland for their reception with family and friends. A very fun crowd of guests who knows how to get down and boogie on the dance floor.

One of the sweetest wedding ceremonies that I have been to; you can just see how happy everyone was for Elisa and Darwin on their special day, so many family and friends contributing to the logistics of the day to help with ensuring the day would run smoothly, and all at the same time, remembering to have fun!
